WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE WHISKEY - $460,000!!


The most expensive whisky sold at auction is $460,000 (£291,125), for a bottle of 64-year-old Macallan in Lalique, sold at Sotheby’s in New York, New York, USA, on 15 November 2010.
This sale represented the collaboration between The Macallan® and Lalique, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting charity: water, an organization that provides access to clean, safe drinking water for people in developing nations.

WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE BURGER!


The most expensive hamburger is Le Burger Extravagant which sells for $295.00 (£186.52) at Serendipity 3 in New York, New York, USA, as of 22 May 2012.
The hamburger is made from white truffle butter-infused Japanese Wagyu beef and topped with James Montgomery cheddar cheese, black truffles and a fried quail egg. It is served on a gold-dusted campagna roll spread with white truffle butter. The roll is topped with a blini, creme fraiche and caviar.

MOST EXPENSIVE COCKTAIL!


The most expensive cocktail was sold for £8,583 ($12,970) and was made by Joel Heffernan (Australia), at Club 23, Melbourne, Australia, on 7 February 2013.
The cocktail made by Joel Heffernan, called 'the Winston', contained 60ml of Croizet's 1858 'Cuvee Leonie' cognac. This cognac is also the Guinness World Records title holder of the most expensive cognac sold at auction.

WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE CAT!!


A Californian Spangled Cat was bought for $24,000 (£15,925) in January 1987 and was the display cat from the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book of 1986.

MOST EXPENSIVE BOARD GAME OF MONOPOLY


An exclusive $2 million (£1.4 million) Monopoly set was created by the jeweller Sidney Mobell, San Francisco, USA in 1988. The board is made from 23 carat gold, rubies and sapphires top the chimneys of the solid gold houses and hotels and the dice have 42 full cut diamonds for spots.

WORLD'S LARGEST SPIDER


The world's largest known spider is a male goliath bird-eating spider (Theraphosa blondi) collected by members of the Pablo San Martin Expedition at Rio Cavro, Venezuela in April 1965. It had a record leg-span of 28 cm (11 in) - sufficient to cover a dinner plate. This species is found in the coastal rainforests of Surinam, Guyana and French Guiana, but isolated specimens have also been reported from Venezuela and Brazil. 

A two year old spider of the same species, bred by Robert Bustard and reared by Brian Burnett of Alyth, Perthshire also had a leg span of 28 cm (11 in) and weighed 170 g (6 oz) in February 1998.
Body length: 280 mm, Weight: 50 g, lifespan: 10 years, discovered: 1804.

WORLD'S TALLEST MAN


The tallest man living is Sultan Kösen (Turkey, b.10 December 1982) who measured 251 cm (8 ft 3 in) in Ankara, Turkey, on 08 February 2011.The part-tme farmer was the first man over 8 ft (2.43 m) to be measured by Guinness World Record in over 20 years.Indeed, GWR only knows of 10 confirmed or reliable cases in history of humans reaching 8 ft or more.Sultan also holds the records for widest hand span and largest feet on a living person.Speaking at the time of his entry into the Guinness World Records family he said: 'I never imagined I would be in the book, I dreamed about it, but it was still a huge surprise'.Sultan is one of five siblings, with three brothers and one sister,. The rest of his family, including his mum and dad, are all 'normal' sized.Because of his extreme height he was never able to finish school but works occasionally as a farmer to support his family.He describes one of the advantages of being tall as being able to help out his mum out with jobs such as changing a broken light bulb and hanging curtains.Disadvantages to his height he lists include not being able to find clothes or shoes that fit or finding it extremely hard to fit into a regular size car.Like every young man in their twenties, Sultan enjoys listening to music, playing computer games and watching movies.

The largest breast belongs to Annie Hawkins-Turner (aka Norma Stitz) (USA) who has an under breast measurement of 109.22 cm (43 in) and an around chest-over-nipple measurement of 177.8 cm (70 in).

WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE GLOVE - $420,000!!


The most expensive glove sold at auction was sold for $420,000 (£267,879) and was bought by Ponte 16 Resort (China) in New York, New York, USA, on 21 November 2009.
The glove belonged to Michael Jackson and is now on display at the MJ Gallery at Ponte 16 in Macau, China. The auction was conducted by Julien's Auctions (USA) at the Hard Rock Cafe at Times Square in Manhattan.

WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE PET WEDDING - $150,000!!


The most expensive wedding for pets was valued at $158,187.26 (£101,838) between Baby Hope Diamond (Coton de Tulear) and Chilly Pasternak (Virginia poodle), organized by Animal Fair Media Inc., Harriet Rose Katz, and the Jurimuah Essex Hotel in Central Park, New York, New York, USA, on 12 July 2012.The entire wedding was estimated to cost over $270,000. Most of the wedding elements were donated in order to raise money and awareness for the Humane Society of New York.

WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE HOT DOG - $150!



The most expensive hot dog is the California Capitol City Dawg which sells for USD $145.49 (GBP £93.39) at Capitol Dawg in Sacramento, California, USA and was introduced on 31 May 2012.
The hot dog is composed of an 18 inch, 3/4 pound all-beef, natural-casing, Chicago-style frank, French whole grain mustard, garlic and herb mayo, sautéed shallots, mixed baby greens, applewood and cherry smoked uncured bacon, Swedish moose cheese (costing $200 USD (GBP £128.39) a pound), chopped tomato, sweetened dried cranberries, a basil olive oil/cranberry-pear-coconut balsamic vinaigrette and fresh ground pepper. It is served on a custom-made herb focaccia roll toasted in white truffle butter. It is also available in a combo with french fries and a soda for USD $149.77 (GBP £96.14).
